'What in the World is This?' artifact guessing contest

Thursday, December 8, 2011

The Putnam County Museum invites the public to participate in a new monthly contest held at the museum.

Beginning this week, the museum will place an unfamiliar artifact on display and invite visitors to guess what the object is and what its purpose might be.

The museum is located at 1105 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Each month, the visitor who submits the most correct guess will receive a free, small strawberry pizza from Almost Home.

The "What in the World is This?" contest will continue throughout the year, and each month will feature a new unusual, artifact selected for the contest.

Residents are invited to visit the museum, take a close look at December's mysterious artifact and take a stab at "what is the world it is!"

  • "What is the World is This?" Nice job, BG. At least it's not in the headline. Oh, wait.
