Wilson Cattle Co. named Premier Breeder, Exhibitor at 2011 ACA National Show

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- It is getting to be quite a habit for Wilson Cattle Co. of Cloverdale to capture Premier Breeder and Exhibitor honors at the American Chianina Association (ACA) National Show.

At the conclusion of the recent National Chi Show in Louisville, Wilson Cattle Co., owned and operated by Bill and Priscilla Wilson of Cloverdale, was named the Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor for 2011.

By again accumulating the most points of any exhibitor or breeder, the Putnam County breeder/exhibitor has now taken home such honors for the third consecutive year.

Wilson Cattle Co. (WCC) also exhibited the Grand Champion Chianina Bull at the 2011 ACA National Show. The champion bull, WCC Smoked Up 384X 1CM, is the May 5, 2010 son of KF Precision 361 (Angus) and was also the Chianina Summer Yearling Champion.

Wilson's also exhibited the Chianina Senior Bull Calf Champion, WCC Smoke on the Water 408X 2CM, a Nov. 1, 2010 son of WCC Gunsmoke 365T 1CM.

In the Chiangus bull show, Wilson Cattle Co. exhibited the Senior Bull Calf Champion, WCC Tephlon Don 411X 1CA, a Nov. 3, 2010 son of Four Roses Destination 15T 2CA, as well as the Junior Yearling Reserve Champion, WCC Exact Science 350X 1CA, a Jan. 12, 2010 son of WCC Exact T53 owned with the Exact Science Laboratory group.

In the female show, WCC exhibited the Chianina Senior Heifer Calf Champion, WCC Struttin 406X 1CM, an Oct. 16, 2010 daughter of Doctor Who 1CM, as well as the Chiangus Senior Yearling Reserve Champion Female, WCC Miss Rattle 388W 1CA, an Oct. 6, 2009 daughter of CJ Prestige 25T (Angus) co-owned with Schrick Land & Cattle Ltd., Weatherford, Texas.

Craig Talkington, Hays, Kan., evaluated 146 head of Chi-influenced cattle in the two-division show.

The ACA National Show was held in conjunction with the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Ky.
