Evening owl hike part of Jan. 7 event at McCloud Nature Park

Visitors to McCloud Nature Park Saturday, Jan. 7 at 6:30 p.m. to learn about the owls that inhabit Indiana.

After a short presentation in the Nature Center, participants will head out for an evening owl hike and attempt to call in and view these elusive creatures.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required by Jan. 5 by calling the McCloud Nature Center at 765-676-5437 to reserve your spot.

McCloud Nature Park is operated by Hendricks County Parks and Recreation and is located five minutes south of North Salem at 8518 N. Hughes Rd. (just east of the Putnam County line).

Admission is always free, and the park is open from dawn to dusk daily. The Nature Center's winter hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.
