Clara M. Terry

Clara M. Terry, 97, Belle Union, passed away Jan. 4, 2012 at the Mill Pond Health Campus, Greencastle.

She was born on Oct. 30,1914 in Clay County, Ind., and was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ida (Shofer) Altemiller.

She married Norman R. Terry on Feb. 17, 1945, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1998.

She was a homemaker and had been employed at the Angwell Curtain Factory in Greencastle.

She was a 1932 graduate of Reelsville High School.

She is survived by her son, Joe Terry and wife Donna, Cloverdale; her grandchildren, Angela Roberts and husband Matt, Brownsburg, and Todd Terry and wife Sarah, Naperville, Ill.; and her great-grandchildren, Addy Roberts and Eli Terry.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Byrum Altemiller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale, with Rev. John Nees officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the New Providence Cemetery.
