City Police

Two Fillmore area juveniles are being charged with shoplifting following a Tuesday evening incident at the Greencastle Walmart store.

Greencastle City Police Sgt. Chris Jones was called to the store at 6:20 p.m. after two male suspects, ages 16 and 17, were stopped for reportedly attempting to steal men's cologne and razor blades with a total value of $36.92.

The teenagers reportedly removed the products from their packaging and hid the items in their clothing.

The boys went to the checkout and paid for other items but were stopped by Walmart officials after failing to pay for the cologne and razor blades.

In other City Police reports, one traffic citation was issued early Thursday by Officer Nick Eastham.

-- At 12:34 a.m., he stopped Melissa Sadler, 30, Greencastle, on Bloomington Street in front of Feld's Carpet and cited her for an infraction of driving with a suspended license.

Sheriff's Department

On Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 11:35 a.m. a 2000 Ford Mustang registered to Shirley Williams, Greencastle, was parked in a space at the St. Vincent Physicians office at 309 Medic Way.

The driver returned to the car and discovered it had been struck by an unknown vehicle.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

County Jail

Several people were held at the Putnam County Jail on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

At 10:15 a.m. Josh E. Hoffa, 34, Cloverdale, was booked in for bond revocation.

At 11 a.m. Bradley Ashby, 46, Brazil, was housed at the jail for probation violation.

At 11:20 a.m. Guillermo Herrera, 42, Indianapolis, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

At 3:12 p.m. William Eugene Cavaness, 32, Terre Haute, was held for probation violation.
