County Jail

Three people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* On Thursday, Jan. 5 at 10:37 a.m. Diana Jean Martin, 40, homeless, was housed at the jail for criminal conversion and check deception.

At 11:42 Raymond Herbert Hess, 45, Cloverdale, was arrested for operating while intoxicated.

* On Friday, Jan. 6 at 3:04 a.m. Kelsey Nichole Patterson, 24, Greencastle, was held for battery, disorderly conduct disturbing the peace and probation violation after a reported domestic altercation at a 721 E. Seminary St., Greencastle, apartment.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to several dispatches recently.

* On Thursday, Jan. 5 at 12:21 p.m. GFD was dispatched to 414 S. Indiana St. but was disregarded at 12:25 p.m.

At 2:40 p.m. fire personnel performed an odor investigation at 1105 N. Jackson St. They found a faulty ballast. Cleared 3:09 p.m.

At 3:47 p.m. they responded to a medical assist at 940 Indianapolis Rd. Cleared 4:16 p.m.

At 4:16 p.m. GFD responded to a barn fire at 1414 W. CR 100 North. Cleared 5:47 p.m.

At 8:06 p.m. firefighters performed an odor investigation at 400 Longcastle Drive. Upon arrival, personnel smelled sewer gas but found nothing. Cleared 8:44 p.m.

* On Friday, Jan. 6 at 9:29 a.m. they were dispatched to an alarm at 414 S. Indiana St. but were disregarded at 9:33 a.m.

At 9:43 a.m. GFD performed a medical assist at 590 N. CR 100 East. Cleared 10:01 a.m.
