Chamber dinner to feature comic juggler, Citizen of Year Jan. 28

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its Annual Dinner for Saturday, Jan. 28 at the DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Facility.

The evening will begin with social hour from 6-7 p.m. with DJ Jim "Figgy" Hardwick providing music. His appearance is sponsored by Duke Energy.

Drinks and appetizers and bidding on silent auction items will also take place during the social hour. The silent auction is sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College.

The buffet dinner, which is sponsored by North Salem State Bank, will begin at 7 p.m. The meal is being prepared by DePauw Catering Services.

Following dinner, the presentation of awards will take place, including the announcement of the 2011 Putnam County Citizen of the Year, the Chamber of Commerce Director of the Year, and Chamber of Commerce 50-year member awards.

The evening will be capped off with entertainment from comedian/juggler, Jason Huneke. His appearance is sponsored by Hendricks Power Cooperative and Parke Co. REMC.

"The Chamber greatly appreciates the support of these member businesses," Chamber Executive Director Tammy Amor said. "Their generosity makes this evening possible."

Tickets for the dinner are $30 per person.

Table sponsorships are being sought for the event for $35 per table. Anyone who sponsors a table will get an on-table acknowledgement and a special mention in the event program. You do not have to attend the dinner to be a table sponsor.

The Chamber is also still accepting silent auction donations. It is asked that the items donated be valued at $75 or more. Your business will get special signage and acknowledgement for donating to the silent auction.

Reservations, table sponsorships and auction donations will be accepted until the end of the day on Friday, Jan. 20.
