BLOOMFIELD -- The Cloverdale girls' basketball team picked up a win over Eastern Greene Tuesday 53-47.

The Clovers had four players score in double figures Tuesday. Sydney Shrum led the team with 18 points, followed by Katie Fulkerson with 13, Amillia Nally with 11 and Paige Gruener with 10 points. Bristy Skiles chipped in one point in the win.

"(I) thought tonight was a big step for this program and the girls," CHS head coach Matthew Langdon said. "I have a lot of respect for Eastern Greene and Coach Stevens. We were fortunate that they got into some foul trouble early. But our girls stepped up in a big way.

Shrum, Gruener and Nally were large contributors in us scoring a season-high 53 points. Our senior Katie Fulkerson also had a big game for us. It was just a nice overall team win," he added.
