Phil Gick, president of the Putnam County Heritage Preservation Society, was guest presenter at the Jan. 19 meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Greencastle. Gick, who owns an historic home in Greencastle, detailed the three new National Register of Historic Places historic districts in Greencastle and the positive effect that a National Register listing can have on property values and tourism. Kiwanis International is a civic club that seeks to "change the world, one community and one child at a time." The local club meets at the Inn at DePauw each Thursday at noon. Interested people are invited to contact President PT Wilson at 658-6776.
