Donald G. Beaman

Donald G. Beaman, age 74, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born Sept. 7, 1937 in Coatesville, he was the son of Ralph E. and Helen M. (Kersey) Beaman.

He was a 1955 graduate of Fillmore High School.

Don entered the United States Air Force on Aug. 15, 1955, and served until Dec. 11, 1963.

He married Sharon (Branham) Beaman on Dec. 30, 1955, and she survives.

Don had been a self-employed carpenter for several years.

Survivors include his wife; children, Brad (Bonnie) Beaman, Jeff (friend, Anita) Beaman, Lisa (Lance) Scarff, Tim (friend, Michele) Beaman, Jerry (Sue Ann) Beaman, Tanya (Darryl) Willis, Cindy (Bill) Cox and Josh (friend, Ashli) Beaman; a brother, Robert Beaman; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven R. Beaman; a granddaughter, Nicole Beaman; and a sister, Janice Long.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
