Verna Lillian Price

Verna Lillian Price, age 78, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Born Aug. 13, 1933 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of William Lester and Cora Ethel (Thompson) Cummins.

A 1951 graduate of Pulaski County High School, Lillian married James A. Price on Feb. 7, 1952, and he survives.

She had been a homemaker and helped her husband in their business, Price Vermeer.

She was a member of the Church of Christ, Greencastle.

Survivors include her husband; sons Tom M. (Sabrina) Price of Oklahoma and Jerry W. (Vinny) Price of Coatesville; brother William Denver (Patricia) Cummins of Corydon; seven grandchildren, Karen Wells, James Price, Michael Price, Vera Greeley, Carrie Kunkel, Casey Price and Shelly Price; and several great-grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 19 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Charles Sebree officiating.

Entombment will follow at the Pinelawn Mausoleum at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. on Monday until time of service.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
