The Putnam County Community Foundation will host the second of its 2012 Non-Profit Learning Series workshops on Monday, April 9.

The workshop is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Inn at DePauw.

Bryan Orander from Charitable Advisors will be holding "Mini Board Retreat." Staff and board members of area nonprofit organizations, churches and units of government are encouraged to attend.

A board retreat gives pause to the typical board business and allows time for discussion around areas that are so often put off until the next board meeting.

At this Mini Board Retreat, the group will discuss roles, responsibilities, and thought provoking questions that all boards should be discussing.

The workshop is sponsored by Duke Energy and the cost is $15 if registered and paid by April 2 and $25 at the door.

The cost includes the workshop, a catered lunch, and all workshop materials.

To register, persons should contact Dean Gambill in the Community Foundation office at 653-4978 or dgambill@pcfoun-dation.org.

The Putnam County Community Foundation is a nonprofit public charity established in 1985 to administer endowments, award grants, and provide leadership, enriching the quality of life and strengthening community in Putnam County.
