Diana Marlene Buis

Diana Marlene Buis, age 75, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at her residence.

Marlene went to be with the Lord and her loved ones. She was born on Sept. 7, 1936 in Hazelwood.

She married Lewis Leon Buis on Nov. 12, 1949, and he survives.

She attended Stilesville High School and was a member of the Putnamville United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She had been employed at Reelsville Elementary School, South Putnam High School, DePauw University and Harmless Laundry.

She is survived by her husband of 62½ years, L. Leon Buis; brother Larry (Dewayne) Alkire; sons Maurice, Jerry, Michael and Kenneth Buis; daughters Patricia (John) Meza and Jennifer (Joe) Collins; daughter-in-law Barbara Buis; granddaughter Melissa Buis; great-granddaughter Nevaeh Hillenburg; seven step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Shirley Dewayne Alkire and son David Lee Buis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with Pastor Tim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Coatesville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
