Meet more of the local celebrities dancing for PCYDC

Dancing with the Putnam County Stars is set for Saturday, April 14 at the DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Local celebrities will go toe to toe and raise money for Putnam County Youth Development. This is the third set of biographies of this year's stars.

Regina Walton

Regina Walton is an elementary school teacher. She has three children and enjoys an active lifestyle: Running, traveling, playing and watching sports, shopping and cooking.

She has three sons, Cameron, Ryan and Derek.

Walton is hoping for a fun experience, but thinks she can gain more.

"I wanted to do something exciting and outside my level of comfort, as well as donate my time toward a worthy cause."

Walton attends Greencastle Christian Church and volunteers at numerous school events.

Dance Experience: None

Carrie Thompson

Carrie Thompson is a Human Resource Manager for Dixie Chopper. She is married and has two daughters, Holly Wood and Haylee Query.

Thompson enjoys motorcycling, reading, traveling and spending time with her four grandchildren.

She is a long-time participant in CASA (10-years), ResCare (9-years) and YDC (2-years), and is looking forward to making a more noticeable contribution.

"YDC is a great organizations," Thompson said, "and I wanted to help in the fundraising so they can continue their programs."

In addition, Thompson is hoping she can use the contest to help lose weight and gain new friends.

Dance Experience: "Dance Class -- 34 years ago."

Jason Chew

Jason Chew is an assistant principal at North Putnam High School. He is married to Alyssa Chew and has three children, Alaina, 7, Brayden, 4, and and Carson, 11 months.

Chew enjoys work, golfing, and being with his family and friends. Chew is excited for a chance to contribute to a cause he believes is extremely valuable.

"I have seen first hand the awesome impact PCYDC has had on area youth," he said. "PCYDC staff are always willing and eager to go out of their way to help students, families and schools."

Chew is an active participant in the events at North Putnam High School and is looking forward to meeting new people.
