CLOVERDALE -- The CHS boys' golf team lost Thursday to Linton-Stockton, 161-188.

The Clovers were led by Aaron Whitlock's 44. He was followed by Zach Hall's 45, with Colte Tomlinson adding a 49 and Freddy Fisher a 50. Rylan Mattocks shot a 53 and Brody Pfaff shot a round of 53.

"We hit some good shots and had some good holes," head coach Doug Wokoun said. "Unfortunately, we did not do either with consistency. We are showing the ability to play good golf, but we are not able to string together enough good things right now.

"Aaron is making good progress, and Zach also played much better," he continued. "Colte played the first six holes very well, but ran into problems trying to finish. Freddy played some holes very well, but did not carry those efforts from one hole to the next.

Wokoun said the team is frustrated, but stressed the team needs to be patient and continue to work hard to eliminate mistakes.
