Clovers sweeps Cougars

The Cloverdale softball team cruised to a 10-0 victory against North Putnam on Tuesday, ending the game after only five innings.

Paige Gutierrez started the game and lasted 4 innings, allowing one hit and striking out five.

Kara Knapp led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and home run. She had three RBI.

Heather Goss, Brianna Hoff, Adri Patterson and Justina Wellington each had two hits.

Kat Raisor pitched one inning, giving up one hit and striking out two.

On Monday the Clovers defeated North Putnam 6-2.

Raisor allowed four hits and two runs in two innings.

Guitierrez had eight strikeouts in her five shutout innings. She was also 2-for-3 at the plate.

Knapp had two hits and was accompanied on offense by Bradanne Toney (2-for-4), Patterson (1-for-3) and Rebeka Jordan (2-for-2).
