Cold Start to Relay

Monday, April 23, 2012
It was a cold start to this year's Relay for Life, but hundreds showed up to pledge their support to ending cancer. The day started off with co-chairs Danielle Boyd and Katherine Butler not only thanking everyone for their support but let them know that more than $104,000 had been raised as of noon Saturday. A complete figure will be available at a later date. Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray, along with the new DePauw Athletic Director Stevie Baker-Watson, also said a few words, thanking the community for always coming out to celebrate those who have fought and are still fighting cancer.
