TERRE HAUTE -- Alec Davis shot a medalist round of 35 to lead Greencastle past Terre Haute South 156-172 Monday.

In addition to Davis' 35, Brad Haussin shot a 39 and Luke Brotherton added a 40. Raymond Stinson shot a 42, Adam Jaynes a 43 and Derik Thomas a 45. Tanner Dean and Carl Basile shot a pair of 47s, with Justin Baxter carding a 51 and Joe Kaiser shooting 60.

"Alec Davis was medalist with a very nice one-under-par 35," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "He handled the elements and the course extremely well. Brad Haussin had a 39 with the ninth hole causing him problems again tonight, but still managed to beat all of the Braves players.

"All our other players struggled to get the ball in the fairway, on the green and into the hole. Course management continues to be a source of frustration for our team. Adam Jayne and Carl Basile had very good rounds of 43 and 47 respectively," Paquin added.

GHS continued its strong play on Tuesday, dispatching Tri-West 153-193 at home.

Brotherton paced the Tiger Cubs with a 36, while Haussin carded a 37. Davis shot a 40, with Thomas adding a 41, Stinson a 42 and Dean a 43. Basile shot a 44 as Baxter shot a 50 and Kaiser a 55.

"Eight of our 10 players were at 44 or below," Paquin said. "They were pretty consistent on some very difficult pin placements and fast greens. Quite a few of our strokes were on the putting green and I think that most of our players handled the difficult conditions well."

Greencastle is 4-0 in dual matches this season.
