Cloverdale drops pair to Cadets

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale softball team lost two tough contests to Cascade to start the week. On Monday the Clovers lost 5-1 and were nipped 5-4 on Tuesday.

Paige Gutierrez pitched a complete game for Cloverdale Tuesday, allowing six hits and five runs, while striking out six.

Kara Knapp was 1-for-3 with a solo home run, with Heather Goss going 1-for-2 with a double. Gutierrez and Jess Winders had a hit each.
