M. Ruth Cunningham

M. Ruth Cunningham, 92, of Cloverdale, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012 at her residence.

The daughter of Earl and Lula Bell (Snowden) Lashbrook, Ruth was born Oct. 6, 1919 in Indianapolis.

A homemaker, she had worked as a secretary.

Survivors include son Ronald Cunningham of Indianapolis; daughters, Janice Mills of Florida and Sherry Taylor of Cloverdale; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold N. Cunningham; daughter Deanna Speight; brothers James, Allen and Jack Lashbrook; and sister Anna Wimmenauer.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2 at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, 11636 E. Washington St. Private burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
