National Volunteer Week

Friday, May 4, 2012

Residents and staff of Hickory Creek at Sunset recently read the story of "Little Red Riding Hood" to more than 100 children in the Deer Meadow Elementary kindergarten classes. Thelma Sloan chose to read "Little Red Riding Hood" because the week of April 16-20 was National Volunteer Week. Thelma Sloan acted as the mother, Kayla Chiles was Little Red Riding Hood, Lisa Dodson was the Big Bad Wolf, Karen Coon was the grandmother and Rhonda Cunningham was the forester. As pictured from left are Rhonda Cunningham, Karen Coon, Lisa Dodson, Thelma Sloan and Kayla Chiles.
