Clover softball pounds White River Valley

CLOVERDALE -- Cloverdale's softball team picked up a 9-0 win over White River Valley behind a strong performance by senior pitcher Paige Gutierrez Thursday.

Gutierrez pitched four innings, collecting 12 strikeouts and allowing a single hit. Kat Raisor closed out the game with four strikeouts and allowing no hits.

Kara Knapp led the Clovers at the plate with a 2-for-2 effort with an RBI. Adri Patterson was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Bradanne Toney was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Justeena Wellington added a triple, with Gutierrez and Brianna Hoff contributing to the offensive effort.
