GMS girls' track wins tri-meet

The Greencastle Middle School girls' track team defeated Clay City and Owen Valley 67-45-25.

Corrine Romer eclipsed the stadium record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.3. Allison White placed first in the high jump with a height of 4-5 and Kat King won the long jump with a leap of 13-6. Katlyn Haynes won the 2,400-meter run with a time of 10:07 and Bailey Zapp captured the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.2

King scored another win in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 13.9 and the 200-meter dash in 24.6. The 1,600-meter relay team also picked up a win.

Hannah Brattain, Gracie Smith and Madison Trout finished second, third and fourth in the 800-meter run. Greencastle also posted second, third and fourth place finshes in the 1,600-meter run.
