Fair on the Square slated Friday-Sunday

Main Street Greencastle has announced that it will host its annual Fair on the Square, beginning at noon Friday, May 11 and continuing through 5 p.m. Sunday, May 13.

Everyone is invited and urged to bring family and friends to the Courthouse Square in downtown Greencastle to experience a weekend of musical entertainment, rides, amusements, festival food, crafts, antique and classic cars, and art.

All concessions and vendor booths will open at noon on Friday, May 11 with a musical performance that afternoon by the Cloverdale High School marching band.

Then, from 4-6 p.m., singer/songwriter Barbara Ellen will perform. The evening will topped off by a concert by Shake Rattle & Roll with Gary Daniels.

The events on Saturday, May 12 include the annual Kiwanis Pancake breakfast, starting at 7 a.m. in the firehouse. A flower and bake sale at First Christian Church will start at 8 a.m.

Vendors open on the square at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 12. Entertainment on Saturday will feature Translucent Vertigo from 3-4 p.m. and Phillip Stevens and the Open Road from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Sunday's events include a classic car cruise-in, starting at 10:30 a.m. and musical entertainment by the Indianapolis-based Tune-O-Matics from 1-5 p.m.
