Juanita Kaye Murphy

Juanita Kaye Murphy, age 73, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2012.

Born Aug. 10, 1938 in Fayette County, Ind., she was the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Goodpasture) Voiles and was a graduate of Cloverdale High School.

Juanita had been a secretary at Murphy Brothers for several years. She had also worked at the Banner Graphic, Horace Link, DePauw University and FB Distro.

She loved playing piano, cards and bingo. In her younger years she was a Bible study teacher, Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Greencastle Christian Church, as well as many other accomplishments.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicky (Kim) Gorham, of Greencastle, and Kathy Ravelle, of Kansas City; her sisters, Maxine (Richard) Shadday, of Indianapolis, and Sue (Roy) Bault, of Greencastle; her grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Kory and Nicholas Gorham and Nathan Ravelle; great-grandchildren, Madison, Abigail and Malin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Endna Mae Bennett and Patti Cooper.

She was well known as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. "Until we meet again, we will miss you much."

At her request, there will be no visitation or services. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, will be assisting with the arrangements.
