Fossil Dig at McCloud Nature Park

McCloud Nature Park will be hosting a free fossil dig program on Saturday, May 12 at 2 p.m. Beginning paleontologists can dig for fossils of their prehistoric ancestors.

Participants are asked to meet in the Nature Center for a brief discussion of the geology of the area and the processes involved in fossilization. Kids are then invited to dig through the sands of Big Walnut Creek.

Registration is required for this program, which is designed for those ages eight and up, will last approximately an hour and a half. To register, call 317-718-6188.
