Ralph W. 'Pete' Cummings

Ralph W. "Pete" Cummings, age 78, Coatesville, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born at Danville on March 21, 1934 and was the son of Ralph L. and Alma Nester Cummings. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Groniger Excavating and had also worked as a farmer. He was a Korean Veteran of the US Army, an avid coon hunter, and attended Coatesville United Methodist Church. He loved his whole family and enjoyed helping at the Coatesville Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors: Wife -- Frankie Johnson Cummings; Son -- Pete Cummings, Coatesville; Daughter - Dawn Cline (Fiance' -- Tim Williams), Coatesville; Grandson -- Brandon (Wife - Tabatha) Wallace, Coatesville; Granddaughter -- Kaneya Cline (fiance' -- Kyle Johnson) Coatesville; Great-grandson -- Baylin Wallace; Sisters -- Wilma "Tiny" Rogers, Beech Grove, and Connie Jo Wells (Husband - Buddy), Wapiti, WY; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers - Fay and Bob, sisters -- Sonny, June, Norris, and Skip, and a granddaughter - Stephanie Williams.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 16, at 11 a.m. at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial with military honors will be in the Coatesville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
