Clovers take one from Tiger Cubs

On Monday, the Cloverdale softball team defeated Greencastle 7-1 on the road. Paige Gutierrez pitched six innings, allowing four hits, one run and had seven strikeouts.

Jess Winders was 3-for-4 for the Clovers with two doubles and an RBI. Kara Knapp, Gutierrez, Meghan Helterbrand and Madison Smith all added hits in the Cloverdale victory.

Cloverdale is back in action Thursday when it hosts West Vigo at 5 p.m.
