DANVILLE -- The North Putnam boys' golf team welcomed Greencastle and Crawfordsville Monday, with the host Cougars placing second behind Greencastle 153-181. Crawfordsville placed third on the night with a tally of 193.

Greencastle's Alec Davis fired a 37 to lead all golfers, with teammates Raymond Stinson, Brad Haussin and Luke Brotherton also posting rounds in the 30s. Stinson shot a 28, with Haussin and Brotherton adding a pair of 39s.

Tanner Dean shot a 42, with Derik Thomas shooting 48 and Adam Jayne shooting 54.

For the Cougars, Jake Smith shot a 44, with Danny Smith following close behind with a 45. Mason Asher and Jon Willard both shot 46, with Lance Clodfelter and Emmett Holsapple carding 49 each.

"(It was a) good win on a cool and windy Twin Bridges," GHS head coach Steve Paquin said. "Everyone handled the conditions well as it was very windy and cool. Twin Bridges challenges the players to hit accurate drives, irons, and you have to be able to handle the fast and undulating greens."
