INDIANAPOLIS --As the 2011-2012 school year has come to a close, the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis honored its scholarship and award recipients at a breakfast at University Place Hotel. A total of 77 students were recognized this year.

Nathan Welty, a native of Fillmore, is among those recipients. Welty received the Kelley Indianapolis Faculty Undergraduate Scholarship, an endowment created by contributions from faculty to recognize a student currently in the Kelley Honors Program.

Hard work is nothing new to Welty, who says he learned from his father's example. Last summer he worked three jobs in order to help pay his school costs. Welty firmly believes that work ethic and leadership are tightly tied together and that in order to be a good leader. Set to graduate in 2014, Welty has an interest in the financial marketplace.
