Putnamville UMC to host annual ice cream social

The Putnamville United Methodist Church will host its annual ice cream social from 12:30-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 24.

The United Methodist women will have a bake sale with all kinds of goodies.

Other offerings will include ham sandwiches, hot dogs, coneys, ice cream, chips, tea, lemonade, soft drinks, pies and cakes for a free will offerings.

The church will also be accepting canned food donations for the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry.

Music will be provided by Upward Journey.

Listed on the Register of Historic Places, the historic church was built in 1834.

The public may also tour the 1884 office of Dr. Amos Horn, now the Putnamville Museum. The Museum is located directly north of the church on the village green.
