My First Day Camp program set at park

Monday, July 2, 2012

My First Day Camp is a Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department summer program for kids wanting small groups, structured games, local field trips, arts and crafts, daily swimming and more in an outdoor setting.

A little more personal than the SPARK program and designed for youth entering grade 1-6 grade who do not enjoy the large, fast, loud days of SPARK, the program will have small groups and more supervision.

It is designed for youngsters who, due to medical or physical constraints, do not attend SPARK.

The group will swim every day, weather permitting. Parents are asked to consider swimsuits under their clothes in the morning, it makes for more swim time.

For your child's safety, no flipflops, closed-toed shoes are required since the group will be walking all morning. Dress for the weather, and keep in mind, we will get dirty in some of the programs.

Pre-registration is required. My First Day Camp is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, July 3, 5, 10, 12, 17 and 19 in the Robe-Ann Park bandshell.

An enrollment of 30 children maximum has been set. The fee is $25.
