Brenda Lynn Beck

Brenda Lynn Phillips Hammond Beck, 63, of Fillmore, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012.

Born March 12, 1949 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of William Harold and F. Muriel (McCammack) Phillips.

She attended Belle Union schools and was a 1967 graduate of Fillmore High School.

She married James Michael Beck on June 8, 1985, and he survives.

Brenda had been a homemaker. She had previously worked 10 years at Colonial Life Insurance and 18 years as a hairdresser at the Creative and at Mallory's.

She attended Big Walnut Baptist Church, Reelsville.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Beck; children Amy Lynn Hammond of Coatesville, Michael Todd Beck and wife JoAnne Kehoe of Indianapolis, Rachel Elizabeth Beck of Speedway, and Jane Erin Archer of Pike Township; a sister, Sharon Foster and husband Fred of Plainfield; 13 grandchildren, Alexis, Abbigail, Ashli, Maria, Veronica, Felicity, Anthony, Kaylee, John, Joshua, Theodric, Elizabeth and Breeana.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9 at the Coatesville Cemetery with Pastor Mike Goss officiating, burial to follow.

The family will receive friends 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 8 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle.
