Hosta presentation at the Cloverdale Market

Saturday, July 7, 2012

So sweet, stained glass and blue mouse ear are just a few of the hundreds of varieties of hostas, a popular plant that grows in a variety of shapes and sizes.

On July 7 at 10 a.m. Vicki Price of RTM Unique Country Gifts and Garden Shop will give a presentation on the versatile plant at the Cloverdale Farmers' Market.

The talk will give general information, as well as advice on planting the popular flower garden staple.

This will be the first of many presentations scheduled for the market season. Lemonade Day/Kids Day, heirloom tomatoes and more will be upcoming.

The Cloverdale Farmers' Market is located at the corner of Logan and Lafayette Street in Cloverdale and is held each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.

The market has been expanding to offer more than garden produce and setup is free.

Vendors interested in participating in the market should contact Judy Whitaker at 795-6211.
