Brewer shines in high school all star basketball game

PORTLAND, Ind. -- North Putnam's Jameson Brewer led the Indiana all star team in scoring, but it wasn't enough as the team lost to Ohio 129-94 in the first PostYourT.Org Indiana vs. Ohio High School All Star Basketball Games on Saturday.

Indiana held an early 8-4 lead but a 31-10 Ohio run in the middle of the first half was too much to overcome.

"They put a real whipping on us," Brewer said. "We hustled but we didn't have enough to beat Ohio."

Brewer, who will begin his senior year this fall, scored 18 points.

"We just didn't seem to match their intensity the entire game," he said. "I enjoyed playing against the tough competition today."

The game took place at East Jay Middle school and was supported by the Lions of Indiana, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Indiana National Guard.
