Vicki Small touched the children of our community

To the Editor:

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Vicki Small this past Friday. Having worked alongside Vicki at The Learning Castle, I know that there are numerous children in the community that have been touched by her caring hands and mind and loving attitude.

She was not only a friend, but also a great person to work for, and she loved the children at First Christian Church.

While my children are grown, and Alan even officiated the wedding of my daughter Kara a few months ago, they have fond, loving memories of Mrs. Small. She not only taught them their ABCs, but also how to handle life and to survive the Big Wheels being ridden in the basement.

She will be sadly missed by many. Love and prayers go out to Alan, Amy and Jeff.

With love and respect ...
