Monday, September 10, 2012

MORTON -- Union Chapel United Methodist Church is hosting its annual fish fry on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Fish will be served starting at 4 p.m. The event will be held in the church's shelter house on the west side of the building.

The menu will also include hot dogs, homemade barbecue, a variety of side dishes and many delicious desserts alongside the fish.

There will be entertainment provided by Boswell's Country Gospel Band that will begin around 6 p.m.

The band has been supplying the church's annual fish fry with music for several years and attendees are always entertained.

For children, there is a playground adjacent to the shelter house.

A free-will donation will be accepted with proceeds from the event that will be used for community outreach projects.

The congregation always looks forward to hosting the fish fry. It provides an opportunity for families, friends, neighbors and passersby to an evening together for food, fellowship, fun and lots of reminiscing.

Union Chapel is located on U.S. 36, one mile west of Morton or four miles west of U.S. 231 and five miles east of Raccoon Lake.
