Clovers remains perfect with win over Lakers

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale volleyball team moved to 12-0 on the season with a three set victory over Shakamak Monday. The Clovers won 25-21, 25-11 and 25-8.

Bradanne Toney led the Clovers with 20 kills. She also had 16 points, three aces, three blocks and 10 digs. Paige Gruener recorded two points, with one ace, six kills and seven digs, while Lindsay Robson tallied 17 points, one set assist and six digs.

Adri Patterson scored three points, seven kills and five digs, with Jessica Winders added two set assists and one digs. Bristy Skiles recorded 27 set assists, along with three points, one ace and three digs, with Rebekah Jordan adding six points and one dig.

Taylor Jones had one point, five kills, one set assist and four digs, with Megan Helterbrand and Ali Nees adding one dig each.

"We played well tonight as a team," CHS head coach Kathy Moore said. "We had some terrific serving tonight and Shakamak had trouble returning the serve. We are looking forward to our conference match at Monrovia on Thursday."

The junior varsity also won to improve its record to 8-4.
