LITTLE POINT -- The ongoing Interstate 70 resurfacing project will cause the closure of the eastbound entry and exit ramps at Little Point (Exit 51) for several days, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced.

Crews plan the following schedule of closures:

* Saturday, Sept. 22, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. -- Eastbound entry ramp.

* Monday, Sept. 24, 6 p.m.-Tuesday, Sept. 25, 7 a.m. -- Eastbound exit ramp.

* Tuesday, Sept. 25, 6 p.m.-Wednesday, Sept. 26, 6 a.m. -- Eastbound entry ramp.

The project on I-70 will resurface the interstate from U.S. 231 to Little Point. It was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction for $10.49 million and is scheduled for completion in November of this year.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
