County Jail

On Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 9 p.m. Samuel Joseph Weekly, 32, Cloverdale, was arrested for parole violation.

City Police

Greencastle City Police are investigating the theft of wheels from three vehicles at York Automotive, 1501 Indianapolis Rd.

Officer Darrel Bunten was called to the dealership at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday after York employees discovered the theft from three new vehicles on the lot.

The theft occurred sometime late Monday or early Tuesday.

No estimated value was available on the stolen items.

The case has been turned over to GPD Det. Randy Seipel for further investigation.

Sheriff's Department

* On Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 8:30 a.m. Glenn T. Moxley Jr., 41, Bainbridge, was passing through a car lot at 7514 U.S. 36, Bainbridge, in a 2001 Cadillac Eldorado.

The glare of the sun off the car's windshield prevented him from seeing a large concrete post. He could not avoid hitting the post.

Damage $5,001-$10,000.

* On Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 6:24 p.m. Carliss A. Osborn, 61,Bainbridge, was northbound on County Road 100 East in a 2011 Ford. Tiara Correa, 16, Bainbridge, was southbound in a 1997 Dodge Caravan.

The bridge crossing the railroad track is only one lane, so Osborn said she was creeping across the bridge. When she got to the top, she saw Correa, who did not slow down and continued southbound, striking Osborn's mirror.

Correa said she did not see Osborn as she came to the bridge and continued south, hitting the mirror. No damage was done to Correa's van.

Correa was cited for operating a motor vehicle having never received a license.

Damage $1,001-$2,500.

* At 10:30 p.m. Nathan S. Gambill, 20, Bainbridge, was westbound on U.S. 36 just east of 500 East in a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country when a deer entered the road.

Gambill swerved to miss the deer and hit a guardrail on the north side of the road, causing damage to the passenger side.

Damage $2,501-$5,000.
