Cougars shutout Cascade

The North Putnam seventh grade football team defeat Cascade 20-0 Thursday.

Kaleb Warner scored two rushing touchdowns, with Gage Bell adding a rushing touchdown of his own. Hayden Rudes hooked up with Dylan Hess for a two-point conversion.

The Cougar defense stepped up with Ethan Christy and Zach Culberson collecting interceptions.

Head coach Lonnie Lawhorn noted Patrick Kimes had a good defensive game.

"It seems like each game we have somebody new stepping up," Lawhorn said. "Kaleb hadn't been getting much playing time, but he earned in practice. He had a good game Monday at Terre Haute, but tonight he really stepped it up. I'm very proud of him and the overall effort."

Lawhorn said it was a great to finish the week with two quality wins.
