Joseph L. Collins

Joseph L. Collins, 78, of Greencastle passed away on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012.

He was born in Putnam County to Arthur C. Collins and Martha Marie Frank Collins.

Joe was a member of Hanna Street Baptist Church and was a longtime farmer. He had been employed with the Indiana State Highway Department for six years, the Putnam County Highway Department for three years, and had been a janitor with Harry Tran and Sons and McDonald's.

Surviving are his sisters Mary Diedrich and husband William of Plain City, Ohio, and Anna Allen of Cloverdale, special family member Loren D. Leonard and nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents, brothers James Collins and John Collins and his wife Benetta Collins preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Patrick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from noon until time of services.
