Flu shots scheduled Nov. 1 at Ivy Trace

Local senior catered living center Ivy Trace Catered Living Apartments will offer flu shots on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Shots will be given by staff from the Visiting Nurse Service from 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The VNS fees for flu shots are as follows:

--- Flu vaccination (3 years and up) -- $35.

--- Half-dose vaccination (6-35 months) -- $30.

--- Thimerosal-free flu vaccine (6 months and older) -- $40.

--- FluMist (Healthy Individuals 2-49 years/Thimerosal-free) -- $40.

--- Pneumonia vaccination (9 years and up) -- $70.

VNS accepts all Medicare Part B and Select Medicare Advantage plans (MAP). Individuals must present their appropriate card to receive the flu and/or pneumonia shots. If card is not presented, payment will be due when service is rendered by cash or check only.

VNS asks that those intending to receive shots wear short sleeves for easy access.

Ivy Trace Greencastle is at the corner of Arlington and Tacoma streets, two blocks north of the Armory.
