-- At 2:33 p.m. Thursday, a two-vehicle accident occurred at Bloomington and Seminary streets as Katelyn Stewart, 18, Greencastle, was eastbound on Seminary Street, waiting to cross Bloomington.

Her vision was obstructed by stopped traffic and the presence of the city leaf vacuum but a semi driver reportedly motioned for her to proceed across the intersection. Stewart's 2004 Honda Accord was then struck by a northbound 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by Heather Fisher, 25, Terre Haute.

Officer Darrel Bunten estimated damage at $5,000-$10,000.

The brakes on the Salb vehicle failed, Officer Ed Wilson reported, causing him to enter the intersection without stopping.

Total damage was listed at $2,500-$5,000.

Dagenhart reported neck pain following the accident, while Salb declined medical attention.

Officer Nick Eastham estimated total damage at $5,000-$10,000.

Fox reported head and chest pain following the collision and was transported to Putnam County Hospital via Operation Life ambulance.
