Westbound Little Point exit ramp to close on Wednesday

LITTLE POINT -- The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced that the ongoing Interstate 70 resurfacing project will close the westbound ramps at Little Point (Exit 51) beginning Wednesday night to mill and resurface the ramps.

Crews plan the following schedule for closures:

-- 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31 to 6 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, westbound I-70 exit ramp at Little Point.

-- 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 to 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, Little Point on ramp to westbound I-70. -- 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 to 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, westbound I-70 exit ramp at Little Point.

-- 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, Little Point on ramp to westbound I-70.

The project is scheduled to resurface I-70 from U.S. 231 to Little Point.

The project, awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction for $10.49 million, is scheduled for completion by the end of November.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.

INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
