Putnam County history books now available

Pre-sale copies of the Banner Graphic publication "Putnam County Indiana, Looking Back: A Photographic History from the 1800s-1939" are now available for pickup at the newspaper's office at 100 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

Even those who missed the pre-order period still have a chance to pick up a piece of Putnam County history. The 128-page pictorial history is available for $39.95.

The Banner Graphic worked with our readers to produce the heirloom-quality, coffee-table book featuring hundreds of historic images of the Putnam County area.

The book explores the history of the county through pictorials and short accounts of subjects such as transportation, commerce, agriculture, street scenes, public service and disasters, among others.
