Harold Lisby, 100, Fillmore, was welcomed into the gates of heaven by Jesus on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

Harold honored God throughout his life through his hard work, obedience and the abundant love he had for his family and friends. In return God blessed Harold with 100 years of a blessed and fruitful life.

One of his greatest blessings was marrying Thelma Woods on Oct. 13, 1934, and spending the next 78 years by her side.

Harold was a lifelong farmer and a 1930 graduate of Fillmore High School.

He was an 89-year member of Canaan Community Church.

In addition to his wife, Thelma, he leaves behind two daughters, Doris (Wendell) Ratcliff, Fillmore, and Kitze (George) Pallas, Branford, Conn.; grandchildren Derek (fiance' Amy) Ratcliff, Terre Haute, Garret (Gina) Ratcliff, Brazil, Nicki (Tim) Weaver, Brownsburg, Wendy (Chris) Danner, Fillmore, Aaron (Cherida) Pallas, Indianapolis, and Doug (Michele) Pallas, Wallingford, Conn.; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Although Harold had many experiences and accomplishments in his long life he wanted to be remembered by how he lived his life. He leaves a legacy of love, laughter and devotion to his family and all those who were fortunate to know him.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Burial will be in Fillmore Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home 3-6 p.m. Sunday.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Fillmore Alumni Association c/o Putnam County Foundation or the Canaan Community Church.
