Carla Edwards Padgett, 49, of Ennis, Mont., wife of Landon Padgett, went to live with our Lord on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, passing away at the Madison Valley Medical Center in Ennis from congestive heart failure.

Carla was born Aug. 1, 1963 in Greencastle to Gerald and Dorothy Edwards.

Carla was a longtime member of Sherwood Christian Church in Greencastle.

She graduated from South Putnam High School and Vincennes University.

She loved showing horses and cattle and was a 10-year 4-H member, winning numerous awards. She loved her high school rodeo and was a member for four years.

Carla loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with her family.

Carla was preceded in death by a sister, Janella Whittaker, and grandparents Tom and Dessa Cress, Woody and Dorothy Sutherlin and Paul Edwards.

She is survived by her parents, her husband, her son Ben Worthington, godparents Gene and Alice Beck, uncle Connie Cress, brother-in-law Dean Whittaker, nephew Ryan (Emily) Sears, niece Dessa (Rob) Frank; Tracy Merkel, several cousins she was very close to and her in-laws, Richard and Adele Padgett and Kathy and Jim Chisum.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at Sherwood Christian Church in Greencastle. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. at the church.

K&L Mortuaries & Crematory of Ennis, Mont., assisted with arrangements.
