Victor Lawrence Thomas

Victor Lawrence Thomas, age 64, of Greencastle, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 2012 at The Waters of Greencastle.

He was born in Putnam County on Dec. 29, 1947, the son of Lawrence and Martha B. Thomas.

He grew up on a farm near Morton-Union Chapel in Clinton Township and attended Clinton Township and Greencastle schools.

He grew up loving to farm with his father and loved to play bingo at The Waters. He always had a smile on his face for everyone even with suffering the complications of multiple sclerosis and diabetes.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Darla Rhind, North Carolina; a niece, Deanna Marek, New Jersey; and a nephew, Douglas Thomas, Indiana.

He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Ronald E. Thomas.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at Calcutta Cemetery with Rev. Paul Taylor officiating.

There will be no calling.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of choice.

Arrangements are being handled by Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville.
