Making Activities Count
Excellent ideas for classroom activities have not gone unnoticed by local McDonald's restaurants. McDonald's Restaurants of Central Indiana offered MAC Grants this year to help teachers "Make Activities Count" for their students. Greencastle Middle School teacher Stacie Stoffregen (left) was awarded a MAC Grant to transform her classroom into a forensics lab, where her students will be able to use critical thinking to solve mysteries. McDonald's Area Supervisor Bobby Hopper (right) made the presentation to Stoffregen and GMS principal Tamra Walker recently. MAC Grants is an on-going program that offers financial support to help teachers Make Activities Count for their students. Those who are interested in applying for the grant can submit an application next year at www.mcindiana.com during fall 2013.
